Villa Jeanneret-Perret, also known as Maison Blanche, was designed by the renowned Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier in 1912. The villa is located in La-Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland and was built for the parents of Le Corbusier's friend Charles-Edouard Jeanneret.
The villa is a remarkable example of Le Corbusier's early work, showcasing his innovative use of reinforced concrete and incorporating an open plan design with large windows to bring in natural light. It also features a rooftop garden and a long balcony that runs the length of the building.
The villa was eventually sold to a new owner who added several modifications to the original design, including the addition of a swimming pool and enclosing the open-air garage. In the 1970s, the villa was abandoned and fell into disrepair.
In 2005, the villa was purchased by the Fondation Le Corbusier and underwent significant restoration work to restore it to its original design. Today, the villa is open to the public for guided tours and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
